i took the p2 off raod the otherday

oh sorry.... hi all
squid here,

well the otherday my friend who is barrowing the horse called me up
or i called her and she told me she was going to go riding
so i was all up for that
so we went
she took me to some state forest in vermont
it was just like masachusetts riding
i cant wait to show grunt, i found good riding with the help of a new riding buddy

we will call her "Twolegs" from now on
cuz that is all she is..... two legs
and a great rider
she told me that she use to be a hardcore cross country rider
and now primarly road
but for the second time back on a mountain bike
with a few pointers she was doing great!
i mean she was keeping up with me on the down hills
not right on my tail, but right there
i was truly impressed, and now grunt and i have an enthuiastic (spelt right?)
fun loving nurse to go riding with
thank god we got some one to fix us up out on the trail now... lol
just kidding, we both know frist aid
but anyways, it was great, the down hills where super techincal and so where the climbs,
the only problem, the p2 is not made for climbing, so i walked most of them, plus i overheated at one point, i had the pads on, so took thoes off and i was fine, i really need the clipless peddals back!

on the other hand

the apollo
the road bike is now kinda road worthy!
i put new break leavers, and cables on it
i put new bar tape on and my crank bros egg beaters on it and
i took it out
now the tires need to be replaced, but that can be done, they are old and cracked up
but i put air in them and they held! i was super surprised
the breaks are hard as a rock as well so i was super carful where i was going cuz i really didnt have much stopping power!
kinda scary, but i got home!

this sunday i think im going to ride to the plant and back for fun
do some work on the breaks frist!!!!!

but i am supper happy with the bike, it is the right size
the components that came on it are super high class
and all for 20 bucks, and i got a a ross bike with it, using it for spare parts
two extra wheels for cycle cross and winter riding
crank arms for spares
shifter leavers for just in case
and plunty of crap cables
plus a huge frame that is too big for grunt or i or anyone that wants an old ross frame
may go on the wall as decoration
could look cool, needs a little touch up frist
but anyways, im excited about that, i got 4 bikes inthe house
the p2, apollo, ross and the giant
the giant is still in construction phase
but will be done before grunt is home
this will be a mono cog straght bar round town with slicks to get to places quick
nothing special!!!!

so on that note
i got ot stop fucking the dog
and get back to work

and grunt get home soon for some riding, diving and climbing!
