fragile life

i havent talked about this yet here cuz well
its about a friend of mine and its depressing
but it made me think about life
and how fragile it is
and how i worry about grunt over seas
and how i worry about my friends

so this is what happened
a friend of mine was shipping out
she was by a steam pipe when it broke
and was burned over 60% of her right side
she is now at mass general, and doing good
she just made it off her ventilator
but the fact that she got that hurt, and hurt really bad
she is a great engineer, and a wonderfull person
and all i can do is sit and wait for news about her
from her boyfriend who is a friend of mine as well

so now that you know that news, i will finsih my thought
when grunt and i do things, like biking, rock climbing or diving
it is kinda dangerious and to remember we do take most of the percautions
what is a story when you cant come home and tell it right?

but thats not it,
grunt is in harms way
and that worries me
and my friends are in harms way
you want to know one of my bigist fears
the phone ringing and some one telling me
that some one got hurt or died
that scares me the most,
not riding down a hill at 50 miles per hour on a bike
or diving 100 feet under the waters surface
or hanging from a rock and knowing i could fall to my death
i fear hearing about a friend hurt or dead
i wake up at night from nigmares of this
when the phone rings late at night my heart stops
that is how i feel

life is fragile
so please take care of your selves
take care of your friends
and try to keep safe
loosing a friend is hard
and noone recovers from that
